MedTech Twente offers the requisite facilities for a proper user survey and validation setting, such as the Roessingh Research & Development test center and the Wearable Robotics Lab for innovation and development. The companies Gable Systems, Hankamp, Demcon Medical Robotics and Machnet Medical Robotics are also active in the field of Health Robotics. In Twente, the robotics experts of the future are being trained with the Twente Robotics program. Furthermore, the east of the Netherlands is the home base for DIH-HERO: the European network to stimulate the implementation of health care robotics. This network offers myriad funding opportunities for SMEs and regional initiatives. Within MedTech Twente, Health Robotics is used for various projects, such as Sunram5 and Flexible Robotic Suit.
